“ What an absolute delight to be able to walk into someplace and know that everything on the menu is plantbased! The waiter was very helpful in answering questions, as my family has additional allergies, on top of being vegan. But there were so many glutenfree options, and everything was delicious. We really enjoyed the fried brussels sprout appetizer and the french fries with vegan cheese sauce appetizer. The breakfast plate was yummy as well, and having the ability to get glutenfree vegan pancakes is such a treat. Neither of us particularly liked the tempeh bacon, as it was too smoky tasting and reminded me of a campfire. But thats just a personal preference. We will definitely be back for taco Tuesday and any other time we come to visit Salt Lake, this will be at the top of our list. Thanks. ”
“ If you havent been here and need a review. You will not get better vegan options. This is the place. If you are on the fence on vegetarian and vegan then this is the starting place. Ask for the pizza menu browse the many menu items. Dont forget desert. And a market to take things home. ”
“ A True Vegan Comfort Food Gem in SLC Vertical Diner is handsdown one of my favorite goto spots in Salt Lake. Its an allvegan diner that delivers classic comfort food with a plantbased twist and they do it incredibly well. If youve ever craved diner staples but wanted to stick to your vegan lifestyle, this place nails it. Think biscuits and gravy, burgers, pancakes, sandwiches, and more all 100 vegan and full of flavor. Personally, I think their Tofu Benedict is absolutely top tier. Its become my regular order, but Ive been slowly working my way through the whole menu, and Im about halfway there with very few complaints, if any, about the taste. Everything Ive had has been satisfying, filling, and made with care. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming, the portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable for what you get. Whether youre vegan or just looking to explore some comfort food with a healthier twist, I highly recommend giving it a shot. I have a feeling youll love it just as much as I do. Pro tip Ask for a scoop of vegan ice cream in a coffee mug, then have them pour hot black coffee over it. Its not on the menu, but they do it for me every time and its honestly the best cup of coffee Ive had. The ice cream already has the sugar and vegan creaminess built in, and its absolute perfection. ”
“ Food was good. I had the jackfruit bbq. It was great. Could have been slightly bigger for more value points but it was plenty of food in the end. I was in a little bit of a rush and I usually associate dinners with quick turn over. It was not! It seemed to have a loyal following and a certain vibe thats hard to explain maybe not in a hurry. Atmosphere was good. ”
“ I come here for brunch on the weekends and even though it can get busy, the service is always fast and the food is delicious. My favorites are the La Mesa scramble and the sweet stack. They also have a killer chai. ”
“ Excellent plant based brunch spot in SLC. Love finding vegan diners and this one was great. Ordered the avalanche breakfast plate which was super tasty and filling, and the biscuits and gravy which came recommended and was delicious. Also serve cocktails and alcoholic bevies. We all left satisfied and full ”
“ My vegan friend brought me here and Im SO glad he did! The food is absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the Nacho Mama. I also ordered the Taco Mac seasonal dish and it was insanely good. The tiramisu was very tasty as well. I may have eaten just a little too much of everything and got way full, but it was absolutely worth it. Each of these dishes were packed with so much flavor! Im looking forward to trying more dishes next time I come here. Although Im not vegan, this is easily one of my new favorite restaurants and I highly recommend it. Great service and lots of seating options too. ”
“ Cant believe how long weve lived in Salt Lake before trying Vertical Diner. Visited for the first time in April and weve been back several times since! The Tiger Mac is out of this world delicious. Personally I sub the buffalo sauce for barbecue. Just thinking about the drinks makes me thirsty. I had my first Orange Julius in years and it did not disappoint. As for breakfast, the texturetaste of the sausage patty didnt really land for me, but their pancakes are soooo good. Oh, If you have a chance to sit in their Jade room at night, you should. Its ambiance is pretty neat. ”
